[Falkirk, 30.01.2026] Falkirk MP Euan Stainbank has launched a constituency-wide survey to gather evidence from residents affected by serious delays and administrative failures in the Civil Service Pension Scheme.

The move follows a growing number of cases raised by civil servants nationally who have experienced prolonged waits for pension quotes and payments, problems accessing online systems, and long delays in receiving responses from pension administrators. In some cases, these failures have left people facing real financial hardship at the point of retirement.

Mr Stainbank said:

“People who have spent their careers in public service deserve certainty and dignity when they retire. Instead, too many are being left in limbo, facing unacceptable delays and real financial stress.

“Since Capita took over the contract in December, under the guise of improving service, the opposite has been the case for too many people.

“This survey will help me build a clear picture of the scale and impact of these problems in Falkirk, so I can press Ministers, Capita and those responsible to act urgently and put things right.”

The survey will be used to support individual casework and to inform further representations to the Cabinet Office and pension administrators. Constituents’ experiences may also be raised in Parliament, as MPs seek to hold the Government to account during an upcoming debate on 3 February, should they opt in.

Residents in the Falkirk constituency affected by Civil Service pension delays are encouraged to take part. The survey is available on Euan Stainbank MP’s website: https://euanstainbank.co.uk/civil-service-pension-delays-survey/.
