I’m Euan Stainbank, the Member of Parliament for Falkirk. Representing our community in Westminster is the honour of my life, and I’m committed to standing up for local people, securing investment in our area, and ensuring that Falkirk has a strong voice in national decisions.

Since being elected, I’ve worked hard to support constituents, challenge government policies that don’t work for Falkirk, and push for real, tangible change. One of my biggest priorities has been protecting local jobs, particularly at the Grangemouth refinery. I’ve been pressing the UK Government to step in and ensure a future for this critical industry, securing a just transition that safeguards workers and our economy.

I’m also passionate about workers’ rights, fair pay, and tackling in-work poverty. Having started my working life on low wages, I know how important it is to have strong protections in place. That’s why I’ve supported Labour’s New Deal for Working People, which will ban exploitative practices like fire-and-rehire, introduce day-one rights at work, and deliver a pay rise for thousands of people across Scotland.

Locally, I’ve been fighting to improve transport links, protect public services, and ensure that Falkirk benefits from much-needed investment. Under Labour, the Falkirk and Grangemouth Growth Deal has received an additional £10 million in funding, bringing the total investment to £148.7 million—a major step forward for our local economy.

In Parliament, I’ve been actively involved in championing the bus manufacturing sector, co-chairing the All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Buses, and supporting procurement reforms to grow British industry and protect jobs, particularly at Alexander Dennis. I’ve also been vocal in calling for justice for the WASPI women, meeting with local campaigners to discuss how we can keep up the pressure for fair compensation.

Being an MP isn’t just about what happens in Westminster—it’s about being present in the community, listening to people, and making sure that Falkirk’s voice is heard. That’s why I regularly hold surgeries and community meetings to hear directly from constituents about the issues that matter most to them.
